Doing great, thanks. Feeding well and I have no concerns about recovery at all anymore.

I'll post here every couple of weeks with an update, but I'll wait another 2 months before removing the stitches.

I only managed to get some Baytril from a vet 80km away and she only sold me enough for one injection. A full vial is pretty expensive and very few vets in my area keep it.

There never was any sign of infection and that was my biggest concern in the beginning. The python's movement seems fine and there is no sign of swelling or inflammation at all.

Sounds like you didn't need it then -- good thing, if it is hard to get there!

Next week it will be 3 months since the ball python was cut, but I decided to remove the sutures today because I want the next shed (estimated 1-2 weeks away) to be without anything in the way.

Here is a picture I've taken and it looks pretty good. This is a very closeup photo and from a distance it's very hard to notice the scar.



I will take one last photo update after the next shed and then the scales should look better.
