Hi mgiddings,

Convince your dad to join you on Mike's course on the Snake ID and Snakebite treatment. Then leave the handling to a later date. You will learn allot, and your father will get the correct mindset to make an informed decision. He will also be more at ease on the whole snake idea.

Your enthusiasm should direct your future, so rather make it a marathon journey, than a fast lap.

Concentrate on your corn buddy for now, as he still has a lot to teach you.

Haha, I just had a chuvkle at the father and son image, Me with my hookstick and Dad poised with a shovel, He learning that they not all bad, still im sure he would dispatch any snake if I were not around to save it. It's an old way, and old habits die hard. Strange though that with his aversion to them he has three sons who are all reptile keepers :-D

Wow for a moment I thought we had to go to Zambia for the course.
