I don't know your location but i would guess Eastern Natal Green Snake?
Rather live 1 day as a lion than your entire life as a sheep...

It was exported out of Congo but I have no idea where it was caught. It puffs its neck up when it's aggitated, do all of the similar species do that?

Certainly looks like some kind of Philothamnus or close relative. Which part of the Congo?

Not sure, just know it was exported from there to USA, so I assume it was either caught in Congo or somewhere relatively close by.
