All I know is that I have never seen a live one.

Its no use waiting till monday to give the answer. I must be stupid to think I could catch you guys out.

Well done firstly to Don (horridus), Arno (Bushviper) and then viper200.

I have had this little snake since november and it has never eaten willingly!!! I have offered it everything: skinks (2 species), geckos (2 species), rodent pups, crickets and even a spider. It refuses food. I am keeping it alive by force feeding it geckos tails (Hemidactylus) which I dust with calcium and multivitamins.

I tried to keep one of these back in late 80's and it also never ate. This one is my challlenge to get right. I used to have to push the food all the way into its stomach but now at least i just put it in the snakes mouth and he eats the rest by himself. Hopefully one day he will eat willingly.
