Ha Ha Rhino Viper

Perhaps you can tell us what that obese dwarf adder is at Paarl snake park, definitely not berg adder as labelled. Can post a picture if you like

Hi armata, my best guess is that it is a Southern Adder. We are currently tying to upgrade the Park with finances available. We need to change the nametags and descriptions and a whole lot more. We only bought the farm in middle 2004, and with the money available and me not in country we try to upgrade. (still and always looking for sponsors and donations) Any ideas and suggestions will be appreciated. Many thanks!

And yes please post that one so that we can identify it correctly!

As you know we took a sample on the day and our team at Bangor will come back to me with the result. Any idea of its origin, cos if its from the West Coast I'm gonna be a very happy bunny.
Our first guess was rubida, but it does equally look like an armata. Don't feed it for a month or so. I feed mine 1 mouse per month and they do great, and they are on a 2 month fast right now.

Thanks for all the help BTW. Hope to see you again soon.

About the location, sorry I can’t say for sure, it was part of the collection bought with the Park. But I will do my best and try to find out when I am back by the end of the month. I will e-mail the feeding advice to my lovely and very helpfull wife in the mean time.

Thank you.

HI armata

Sorry for digging up this old post.

Where you ever able to accurately identify this Dwarf adder?
