southeastern US
started the day with this guy
cottonmouth
(Agkistrodon piscivorous ssp.)

and saw a few more during the day....

also saw 8 canebrake rattlesnakes
(Crotalus horridus atricaudatus)

Nice finds, the Crotalus horridus atricaudatus are my favourite rattlers.
There is something that is much more scarce, something finer by far , something rarer than ability.
It is the Ability to recognise Ability

Those canebrake rattlesnakes are also my favourite :D , just look at that viper looking head :smt026

Wow I would have loved to be on that trip. These are far better looking than the "Timber" even though they are supposedly more sought after.

No nonvenomous stuff?

yes we saw some gray rat snakes, black racers.....and a few others
