Get hold of Creatures and Critters in Durban. They have about three different colour varieties.

I just sent two back to Durban today. They were both albino males though. If they had been a pair I might have kept them.

I dont know of anyone else in Pretoria with any.

Hi guys
Does anybody know where I can get a hedgehog in Cape Town?
An african pygmy, or whatever type is available in Cape Town, maybe even a Tenrec.
Approximately how much do they cost?
Thank you!

Thank you for your response. Does that go for all hedgehogs and Tenrecs or only african pygmy hedgehogs?

Hi, I have just recently bought 2 Hedgies "Romeo and Juliet". Romeo is around 6 months and Juliet is around 11/12 weeks old. It is ok to let them share a tank yet? Do I need a permit in Port Elizabeth and who do I contact to get one if I need it?

Racks if you live in PE and have already bought them do you know what is going to happen if the permit is turned down? The animals are removed and usually euthanased.

You should contact the authorities and get the answer from the proper channels so that you cannot blame anyone else if it is incorrect. As far as I know they are not allowed to be kept in the Eastern Cape and a permit will not be issued. Confirm this with the local conservation authorities.
