Suitable substrate

I have had my brown house snake for almost a year now and have mainly been using Aspen Snake Bedding. Just out of curiosity should I stick to this or get something nicer? She is about one year old. Secondly when should I upgrade my vivarium. She is currently in the standard hatchling vivarium.

Just use a substrate you like and don't mind maintaining. I think bark chip could look quite nice.
As for the size of the enclosure, just increase it as the snake grows.
