Another update from Dr. Bush.

The dressing came off today after skin grafting 3 days ago (picture below). I put before and after for comparison. She still has some healing to do, but this is no longer the gaping wound that it was.

Zamo has got Dr. Bush and his wife eating pap & gravy with their hands...Mrs. Bush will be bringing Zamo and her mom back to Swaziland, if all goes well around the 20th of July.

Swazi I would have loved to see the Californians eating like an African. Even just eating pap must have been a change for them.

Lets hope the care continues when they are back in Swaziland. I am sure you will keep and eye on Zamo for a while still. This make make you feel it was all worth it hey?

Wow i am so glad it looks so much better.

Thank you Dr Bush for all your time and effort me as a individual really appreciate it, although i don't know any of these people. I am 110% sure that everybody else feels the same as me. Then thank you Swazi and BV and everyone else involved for all your effort. It really gives me hope for mankind.

Received a call from A'me (Mrs. Bush) last night, I am fetching them from the airport next week. She will film the last bit for the documentary during the 4 days she will be staying with me. Can't wait to see what Zamo's foot looks like!

This is wonderful. This is such a sweet ending to her nasty ordeal.

There has been a setback. I received a call from A'me (Mrs. Bush) on Tuesday informing me that Zamo is not walking on her foot as she should or has been - she is limping and holding her ankle. They suspect a buildup of scar tissue (they did mention the medical term...) may be causing her to feel some discomfort. They are hoping to rectify the situation with physiotherapy. If that does not work then they may have to operate again.

They were supposed to arrive back yesterday. Her return may be delayed for a couple of weeks – will keep you guys posted.
