Considering you have not shown any other symptoms, and your blood work being fine, I would think that the pain all over is just from the shock & stress, which obviously would pass. You are not out of the woods yet though.

Do you have any pics of the bite site?

The muscles themselves are not affected by Boomslang venom however the blood can quite easily leave micro-coagulations circulating which can cause pain in the muscles. Keep drinking fluids (lots of fluids) and stay away from alcohol for at least 3 to 4 weeks. Your kidneys may also be tender so dont go and stress them now either.

Glad it didnt happen on the grounds of Cameleon Village. I suppose these Boomslang also get transported, sold, kept etc. without permits or anything. Sometimes things happen faster than one would expect.

With the reputation some left behind they can do without another bite there.

While we ask questions.....
Did the three of you have transport permits to remove the snakes from there and transport them from NW to GP?
Do you have keeping permits for the eight of them?
Are there import permits from KZN, from the Clive that Natie got them from?
