Help needed with bird

Postby tobiasf » Sun Apr 26, 2015 4:01 pm

Hey all

We are fishing this weekend at Donaldson Dam, I found this bird alone at the dam alone. Is there anyone that can look after it? My number 0761507990

Thanks

It's a black-collared barbet. Looks like a youngster. It should be fine.

Barbets are related to woodpeckers, and make holes in trees in which they build their nests, so I am pretty sure with such a substantial beak their bites can be quite strong.
