Bush snakes

Postby Hugosavage » Mon Jan 13, 2014 3:29 pm

Hi I've got a few bush snakes and one is going to have eggs. I've had them for a while and was wondering how to go about getting a permit with this new legislation in KZN.

Is it worth while to get a permit? And if so, how do I go about it.

Thank you,

You do not require permits for this species in KZN. That did not change.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.

@ BV, if he wanted to sell to someone here in EC, would he then have to go through the normal channels with me having to supply an import permit from natcon here etc? Or would it be more complicating with it being a indigenous reptile?

If someone was buying "CB" bush snakes. I would be concerned.
