Stunning Redlip

Postby Durban Keeper » Wed Jul 16, 2008 9:19 pm

This snake was wild caught by a guy at my work & given to me last week. I'll try & get him going on frogs or gecko's soon as I can find some. He truly is a remarkable snake, The last time I came across a herald this size was almost eight years ago.

The pics below were taken in the late afternoon sun using no flash.

Just a question as it's something that I've never really considered, but would it be possible to (I know this sound wrong, but) freeze & offer feed thawed frogs?

I would try mice as well, I have seen a wild caught Redlip take a small mouse.
Oh, and yet another snake added to your indigenous collection, nice man.

Thanks Eugene.

He really is fat, healthy & shiny. I'll try offer him a pink. It would be so convenient, but then again, so will thawed frogs! hehe
I hope you, your gf and all your snakes are doing well. It's crazy, I'm actually building a set of eight display cages purely for the indigenous guys. But it's like an addiction, your always looking for more!If ANYONE OUT THERE has an actual photograph of a herald voluntarily eating a pink or mouse, i would love to see it!

Reduce your pictures then we can all see them. This new software cuts them off on the right hand side. If you are using a normal sized screen then you only see half the picture.

Yea, what is the maximum width for this software BV? So everyone can know that they must resize to that width...

600 by 800 will fit on most screens.
