Caught this little (10cm) redlip on Saterday in the fishpond. I decided to take a photo or two before release and this was one of the images. Enjoy! :)
Note the rear fang.....

Wow, great picture Mr G.

I must say, I never expected the fang to be so long. It must deliver quite a painful bite, especially is presented the opportunity to chew.

Thx Westley. ja sometimes the goniochromism or iredescence comes out nicely. Dealing with the whites then become a problem. :(
On some of the beetles you even see it more.

Wow that is amazing Mrg. That irredescence is actually hard to spot without the correct light.

What do you do to get him this cross? It makes for nice photos though.
