Night adder with eggs and sexing

Postby Vipernhunter » Wed Oct 19, 2011 1:50 pm

Hi
I have pair Causus rhombeatus were laying eggs and one day later they have sex. I think this is the strategie that this snake have to get more than one times eggs in year.

I hope that I can inkubate the eggs

Very nice!

I love Night Adders, they are such awesome snakes. I just wish they were easier to feed...

Good luck with incubating the eggs, let us know how it goes:)
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

My Causus eats fish and baby rats. I dont give them frogs and toads.
So it is easy to keep this snake. I go in shop and buy frozen fresh water fisch and give them the snake.
Cheap food :-)

Vipernhunter do you perhaps know locals for these individual snakes?
