Psammophylax rhomeatus

Found this beautiful snake out and about on a cold day a few days ago. App. 70cm, larger than the previous skaapies I have found here.

It could have been moving from its hiding place to a better one because I dont think anybody thought it was going to get THAT cold. I hope it found a decent hiding place before sundown.

I thought so too but released it in the same spot and saw it active the following day. Im happy they aren't hiding away :)
