Hi

I am wanting to know if anyone has bred these, and if they know what the incubation time is.

Thank you.

Ok, just for interest and anybody else who may ever need this again. After 72 days at 28-30 degrees my D.aulica eggs starting pipping. I will do a follow up when all are out and post a few pictures.

Awesome man.

I dont think this is a species bred too often, but certainly one of the nice and more "mysterious" indigenous.

I really look forward to the pics!

How many eggs did you have? Were the eggs produced from a captive breeding?

Hi Westley

Thank you. It was a captive breeding, I have had the adults for just over a year now. They laid 7 tiny eggs in September, babies are going to be minute. I will take pictures as they leave the eggs as i have never bred these before and do not want to bother them.

You must be super chuffed then!

While you're at it, please post some updated pics of the adults too.

Got one hatchling so far, another three poking their noses out. But here are some of the adults for now.

This is the male. He is just about going to shed.

The female, and she is grumpy....these snakes have never calmed downed, not even a little. I get bitten by these more than the mozzies up here.

Pics of the babies will come.

They are gorgeous!

Next time you feel like a masochist, please take a picture of the snakes on your hand, for size reference, haha.

lol, I will try Westley. I took some of the hatchling that's out in my hand, will put it up sometime today. The adults are not very big, probably the 50-60cm mark at most.

Well here it is, the first one out. I still have 6 poking their noses out but are hanging tight for the time being.
