I hate to be the one to tell you but I don't think that is Telescopus beetzi. It looks to me like an Eastern Tiger snake - Telescopus semiannulatus. I may be very wrong though. Are you sure of the source of the snake?

As far as I know the beetz tiger snake as black blotches down his body and is also smaller, the common tiger snake as more of an stripe down his body and the stripes also reach further down the sides of the body.

BV I spoke to you last month about this tiger snake and you said its a good possibility that it is beetz. The other reason why I think it's beetz is because it's quite small for it's age.
Ok guys i'll do the scale count asap! The only thing thats bugging me is the v behind the neck that beetzi are supposed to have and the dot on the head. Which is not present in mine.
We have 2 Eastern Tiger Snakes (1:1) here at the Park. They are truly beautiful, but unfortunately doesn't make out to be good display animals, as they "hide" all the time.
My two easterns have very different personalities. My male hides all the time, but my big female has no problem lounging out in full view even in the middle of the day.
