Hi
My name is Aviad and I am a herpetologist from Israel.
During October me and my partner are planning a two weeks herping trip.
We are interest in photographing all reptiles' species at the wild, but our main goal is snakes.
On my last reptiles trips to the southern Africa region I visited at Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
I wonder if October is a good time to look for reptiles in Botswana and/or Zambia.
Does any one can help with tips for planning our trip?
Are there any relevant local "reptiles' people" in this countries that can join us at the field?
I know that South Africa is one of the best places in that region to look for snake, is it safe to do such a trip there (camping most of the time)?
Thanks in advance.
Aviad
