A cowlesi hatchling from beginning of the year.

A lubricus female I got earlier this year. One mean tempered little firework this one haha.

Wow those are some gorgeous animals you have there. Almost remind me of long nose snakes.

I hope you have mates for these. They are so nice to keep.

Thanks guys, they are one of my favourites as well.

The cowlesi is one I hatched out earlier this year. It was a holdback. I do have a male Cape coral for the female pictured, just have to wait until they old enough.

Great little snakes!

Does anyone know why infuscatus ssp. is now invalid grouped with cowlesi? To me they just look so much different that I cannot imagine that they are the same subspecies.

If I had limited knowledge of their taxonomy and someone showed me pictures of cowlesi and infuscatus, I would say that they are same genus, different species.

Hey Fooble thanks men. Ja you must, I am keen to see how they turning out. This is the only one I ended up keeping and he looks just like his parents.

Westley I am not sure why, they do look very different. Now I must get some Shieldnose :)
