Thanks guys, they are one of my favourites as well.

The cowlesi is one I hatched out earlier this year. It was a holdback. I do have a male Cape coral for the female pictured, just have to wait until they old enough.

Great little snakes!

Does anyone know why infuscatus ssp. is now invalid grouped with cowlesi? To me they just look so much different that I cannot imagine that they are the same subspecies.

If I had limited knowledge of their taxonomy and someone showed me pictures of cowlesi and infuscatus, I would say that they are same genus, different species.
