Max that would be the best idea. Following one around from distance and observing exactly what they feed on and what temperatures they like to be at will help you so much. I know of a zoo in Europe that sent a keeper to the Northern Cape to observe some tortoises so that they could recreate the environment there. This was where I found out that they were feeding on drying leaves and flowers as well. They also checked the temperatures that the tortoises were basking in and at what time they would move and how hot the ground got at what time of the day etc etc.

I have photos of their habitat - they are just on the other PC atm..

Where I lived(Kimberley) I found these on our farm - they ate leaves that wer starting to wilt and dry. I also kept some specimens and I use to throw in Sheep droppings for them to eat.

Love your enclosure max. Le Ferme Tropicale are selling Kalahari tent/s at the moment. Hefty price too! Its so easy for some to just stick a CB label on WC animal. Most prospective buyers wouldn't question it as they're not commonly available.
Whats this nonsense about genetically modified food being dangerous and not tasting good!?! I had a leg of salmon yesterday and it was delicious!
