chameleon sunlight

HI , i'm getting a chameleon soon and was just woundering , I have this spot in my room were there is sunlight for about 1and a half hours . there will be a heat globe in the cage , how long would they have to be exposed in the sunlight for (per day ) without a floresant light ?

Sunlight through your window has zero UV advantages. I would suggest that before you get a chameleon go and read up (on this and other forums) what the chameleon needs. Dont try to balance this with what you can afford to give the chameleon but determine if you can supply what it needs.

Without decent UV light (of the correct wave lengths) the right temperatures day and night, the right foods and suppliments and the correct humidity and water supply the chameleon will die ! ! !

They need about 12 hours of unfiltered light per day. Are you getting a juvi or an adult?
