Excellent report, Mike. You found so many pygopodids. I would love to see Neelaps and Parasuta nigriceps someday. How often do you come across those?
Regards,
David

Hi David,
The Neelaps was the first found there, otherwise the closest record of N. bimaculatus to the Middlebacks is about 300km northwest if I remember correctly. P. nigriceps are reasonably common - see a few each year. Nothing compared to the number of Brachyurophis I get in my traps though, it's not unusual to get 1-4 snakes per trap in spring!
Cheers,
Mike
