I strongly doubt whether this morph is available is SA already.

Your best bet to find pictures is to go look on the American forums and classifieds.

Google will work too.

I know slangman posted some from last years expo in Hamm.

They are still pricey and the prices will plummet so most people are waiting a few years because this is very close to a pyramid scheme. You buy when they are expensive and when its your turn to sell then there are thousands on the market. You will not even make your money back if you sell all your hatchlings the first year and not keep any back.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.

they were around 2000 euro each i think so indeed too expensive . There are a couple pics on a thread on here from hamm last year . I was toying with the idea of getting a male and breeding him to every female i could find and simply hold the females back in an attempt to produce a large amount and variety of these amazing snakes but i recon this is already being done and in no time , the price will fall through the floor ! Still , lovely animals and once they become readily available at reasonable prices , may well feature in my 'pet' section of the reptiles i keep as they are a sight !

This is a concern, as surely a snake with no scales would have other issues.the scales of most snakes prevent dehydration as well as some other factors....
Would these survive in the wild??

I have just had a reply from a friend in the states

Seems the scaleless corn was first produced in France, and yes....its a hybrid

http://www.colubiasnakes.fr

Seemingly its the cross between Pantherophis guttatus and Pantherophis emory (corn x emory)

Hi all, Scaleles corns were first produced by BHB Enterprises in the USA. The origional scaleless was a wild caught corn snake, thus bred to produce hets and then on to produce scaleless. There have been intergrades so as to get them into the various corn morphs that are around today. So far Ive seen Normal, Amel and Anerythiristic scaleless corns on the market, ranging in price fron 2500 - 3500 euros for a hatchling. As far as hybrids go, most corn morphs that are available today are were all origionally produced from hybridisation, mainly to E g emori, meahllmorum and slowinski bloodlines. Some of these intergrades are known to naturally occur where subspecies share the same natural habitat.

In 2006, I sold scaleless corn to BHB, so the thirst Scaleless corn snakes seen on BHB videos come frome my breeding. Then Brian Barczick may have launched several projects with them and many scaleless corn snakes sold in the USA comme from BHB. But thirst, this is a "Colubiasnakes discovery" ;)

As soon as i'll be able to learn to post photos correctly on the forum, I will show you some of my 2010 babies :smt007

bye !
