Corn Snake thickness

Corn Snake thickness

Postby Piera » Tue Mar 15, 2011 9:19 am

Hi guys

Was just wondering how thick should an adult corn snake be, mine is about 10 years old, but it is not very thick, its probably about 25mm on the thickest part.

Thanx

They can be a lot thicker than that. Post a picture.

Will do as soon as I can. Do you think it can still get thicker, even though it s 10years old already?

I cant add the pics in the post, because they are to big, but please view them in the galary, if I can get it on there. It was hard to keep it still for the photos, but I dont think its to bad. I refer to it as "it" because I dont know if it is a male or female. I would like it if I can get it thicker, but that probably depends on the snake itself?

Finally some pics, so you can see how thick the corn is.

That snake looks fine. It could do with a bit more food but if it is just a pet that is not too important, as it will not fast during breeding season etc.

Should I give it two at once or spread it out, like wait for it to finish eating one, then give him the other one?

Thanx for the help!

Wait till he's swallowed the one completely. If you feed stunned live, definately wait till he's finished with the one first. I feed my adults 2 rat pups a week. They have less hair and more meat.
