I thought a crimson and a hypo miami was the same thing. They look similar to me. How do you tell the difference? I am pretty useless with these new morphs.

I also thought a Crimson and Hypo Miami were the same, but the guy we imported these from has a specificl line of "Hypo Miamis" and he markets them specifically as hypo miamis, and the crimsons marketed seperately. The difference is especially noticeable when they're adults. The parents of these hypo miamis are spectacular and I hope mine turn out like them. All the "fancy" morphs were imported, including the lavenders.

Nice animals!!
Crimson is a linebred Hypo-Miami, and in fact the most Miami's are linebred too.
I bred this Crimsons this year:

Okay thanks so now I know. Buy from a reputable breeder seems to be the best advice.

Really pretty Crimsons there too. I could get attached to them.

The lavender looks "out of focus". It would make me stop drinking if I have to look at that every day!

We imported them through a friend who organised them from a reputable corn snake breeder in the USA. There's lots of paper work involved and it's not an easy task. Also, the snakes have to be quarantined in a state approved quarantine facility for one month.
