unusual corn snake

Postby Spoon » Sat Jan 05, 2008 10:35 pm

Hey guys there doesn't seem to be anything much happening here with regards to corn snakes anymore? Anyone breeding and or selling any? Anyways here is some photos of an unusual normal corn I bought today and some photos of it next to my normal corn snake. Any thoughts? It appears to be a lot darker than normal with much less yellow and orange on it.

Yeah we breed and sell, you get some that are darker than others. I've had a couple that weren't as orange as the other normal's i've had. Mice corn though

Then it would be het for silver and wouldn't show any silver, unless the normal mother carried the silver gene in which case it would most probably show silver. That definitely isn't a silver corn, its a normal corn snake.

Lovely snakes.

I would say that the more silvery one is also just a normal. Normals vary VASTLY in colour. I would say that your other one is a very nice light normal and your new one is a darker version. :)

I'll have 11 corns by the end of March and should have babies in Aprilish. Pastel ghost motleys. My first clutch ever! Very excited!!!

As someone said, if it were het "silver",better known as Anerythristic A, you would not be able to see it.

The only hets that can sometimes be visible are caramel (especially in the case of amels het caramel), bloodred/diffused, Motley (occasionally) and perhaps one or two others. :)
