These stunning and brightly coloured Variable King Snakes hatched over the weekend. I couldn't be more thrilled with them. Their colours are unbelievably pretty :D

That peach coloured one is really hot! Can these be line bred for a specific phenotype or would the offspring always be variable in this species?

Predicting the outcome of the offspring is very difficult with these ... they seem to produce different looking babies every season, even with the same pairings. The mother of these babies is a very plain looking Banded Milk Snake Phase, and the father is a really nice looking Leonis Phase. I will definitely be keeping that peach colour baby (I suspect it will turn out to be a bright coloured buckskin).

Thanks :) I will probably be keeping the buckskin and the pin stripe. Actually, I'd like to keep the entire clutch but that's just me getting carried away again, lol!
