Kind way to kill rodents for snakes

Hello everybody

I was wondering if you could help. I have been breeding my own rodents for my snakes and have been feeding live. I would like to start feeding freshly killed rodents so that the snakes are not at risk of being injured and so I don't have to try and recapture an unwanted rodent from the snake's terrarium. I am not keen on the gassing method and would like to know if there is another way I could to the deed kindly and without causing the rodents to suffer. I know this question might sound grim but any advice would be really appreciated.

A simple way that a friend of mines uses is to put the rodent in a brown bag and hit it against a tree.
It may not sound very nice but it works and it kills the rodent quickly.

Gassing is the best method in my opinion, especially compared to the other methods that are used...

Just break their neck, it can look brutal but it fast, little pain and cheap.

I breed until I have a few hundred rodents, get a tub with two small holes in it. On for a pipe that's connected to a sodastream machine, and the other a small air hole. Then you just gas them.
