I see you did not put in a nesting box for her. Does this matter or was she happy laying them where she did?

I actually put the moistened moss in a plastic type nesting box a few days before she layed but she got herself under the box and was stuck between the top of the box and the floor of the enclosure. It made me a little nervous, so I removed the box and put the moistened moss on the floor of the enclosure which probably didn't make much difference because she pushed it away and layed on the newspaper anyway.

I had a python do that once as well. Put in a nestbox and she decided to lay the eggs ontop of the heating pad. She atleast managed to lift them off the heating pad with her body though.
