I know of a few breeding sungazers but armadillo lizards?? And for commercial consumption? May be wrong but up in Gauteng there's nothing happening for commercial cause of the CITES permits. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I search a pair of young lizards (Cordylus Cataphractus or Armadillo Girdled Lizard or some else...) for a home keeping. But I don't want to make business on this. Is this commercial consumption?

I couldn't care about commercial consumption. And there are also not only two species of Cordylus. I know of people who have bred both Giant and Dwarf Sungazers.

Buck Rogers,
Can that person supply Aluston with the offspring??
- That question was irrelevant to what was being spoken of.

There you go Aluston, mongoose can hook you up with them :smt023
- I don't trade in reptiles so I'm not going to "hook any one up".

Aluston was asking if anyone breeds them to be sold as pets, I also know a couple guys breeding Sungazers in captivity but they are not selling them as pets, you said the guy you know can supply him with them so I think that question is rather relevant as it was the topic at hand.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I did see an ad posted by you for 'rare indigenous snakes' for sale... please correct me if I'm wrong but 'for sale' is trade.

Back to the topic at hand, Aluston unfortunatly there is nobody breeding armadillo lizards & sungazers to be sold as pets, they do pop up every now and then in South Africa by chance, but internationally they are more than likely illegally smuggled, even some pet shops that sell them in Europe say that they are captive but they are wild caught. They both have SITES permits and can only be exported to zoos.

Once again I may be wrong, feel free to correct me when ever possible.

Buck Rogers, so, absolutely legal lizards I can purchase in zoos only? And if I honest person, then I will not deal with other instances, cause this will be gain for a smugglers, right? Or maybe a private breeder, who has atleast breeding pair and lizards may be in young age, to confirm the pair captivity?
