Another eating problem

Hi guys.

I have been having trouble feeding my brown house snake. She is normally an extremely aggressive eater ( eats up to five mice in one go )but she hasnt eaten in about two weeks and I cant figure out why. She has just shed which explains why she didnt eat in the last few weeks but she still refuses to eat. It was hot last night so I turned the heaters off but a storm has rolled in and it is way too cold for them now. I tried to feed her and she seemed very interested the mouse and followed it for a moment then gave up. I turned on the heating and the room is about 27 degrees right now but she downright refuses to eat. She hides from the mouse

Any ideas will be much appreciated!

She looks great. I was thinking you're overfeeding when you said 5 mice be she looks in very good condition.

It might not be the cold just that she is taking a break.They sometimes go on hunger strikes to recuperate.
You won't have to worry , she can hold out for month or more. When she is ready she will start up again.

Thanks man, I got her in December last year and she has nearly doubled in size and given me a clutch of 11 eggs which were sadly lost She was actually wild caught but she was so tame that i had to keep her and she has been an awesome snake.

Agree with it_bit_me, she looks fine and start feeding again when she wants to. Just offer her food once a week and if she doesnt take wait another week.

Thanks guys, it puts my mind at ease atleast. Now to find my hatchling escapee!!!!
