I have actually held the first live ones collected in 40 years in my hands. Wulf Haacke discovered these after having gone back to the same part of Angola where he found them so many years ago. He then used DNA on the new captives to complete the description of the species. This animal was also bred before the description was completed. It is established in captivity and does not seem to be difficult to keep alive.

Unfortunately Wulf will not ever be going on any field trips again and unless he finishes the work on animals he has already collected this might be his last discovery.

I never kept any so I would be lying to you. Speak to a guy in Germany called Mirko Bartz. I was told he has had some major successes with this species. He should be pretty well known on the gecko forums.
