Hey guys, i found this Transvaal gecko in my house in Jo'burg looking quite drained and tired.

So i went and got an exo-terra tank and all the usual stuff and started feeding her and ext.

Then today i notice what i think is an egg in the tank in the heated corner.

Any advice one how to incubate, she's my first gecko and I originally thought she was male :P

Oh and any other advice you may have for raising geckos will be very appreciated.

You need to place some dry sand in the enclosure as a substrate at least 3cm deep.
Provide a few flat stones or some bark on the base for the gecko to hide under , it will lay its eggs( if it is indeed gravid) beneath the flat stones/bark.

Spray a section of the enclosure lightly at least once a day as it won't drink from a bowl.
Calcium powder should be given on the crickets when you feed it.

Do it a favour and place a branch or two in the enclosure so it can at least use more of the vertical space of the enclosure.

As stated you should't really be keeping this as technically speaking it is " illegal".

But you've been to Oppi im sure you've done worse things there ;)

Fell free to PM me if you need any other assistance in regards to the Pachydactylus.
