Sorry bud, all scorpions are venomous. Just some are more toxic than others.

Hey there

This scorpion is a Opistacanthus validus. All members of this genus are docile in nature and rarely sting. Their venom is very weak causing localised pain for a short while.

Hi,

Agreed - Opistacanthus validus. Not harmful to humans - if stung, it will be less painful than a bee sting. You stand a better chance of being nipped with the pincers that will produce way more pain than its sting :)

Then there is the Pandinus sp. Both Imperator & Cavimanus exhibit physiological signs that completely contradict that "rule-of-thumb"!? They have large bulky Pincers & thick bulky tails!?! Both r mildly venomous but neither considered "Medically Significant"!?

Caught 1 of these up in Monteseel, Inchanga!! Extremely docile (neither offensive nor defensive)!?! Quite small tho.. Not sure how big they get as I've only ever seen them in the ± 1 to 3 inch range!?
