Chameleon in Midrand, help identify

Postby Snowgoose » Thu Jan 15, 2009 8:47 pm

I found this little guy in the garden, took a few pics of him and let him go,

Would love to know what he is, maybe some kind of dwarf chameleon?

Thanks

Nice little find there Snowgoose... It looks like a little flap-neck chameleon you have there.

Such cool animals,
i suggest if its being kept to get it outta of the "fish tank" type cage.

And expose it to descent amounts of sun.

I would suggest that you leave it in the garden. This season I have had a number of reports about Flap necks from Midrand so he will be in good company. If you are worried about neighbours or cats then take him to an area which has lots of natural trees and release him there.

@ Bushviper, @Fooble, thanks guys, yeah I let him go the same day that I found him, he's freely roaming the garden again.

It's great to hear that there are chameleons in Midrand, awesome!
