The snake is still alive and doing well. He has not grown much. I was lied to as what the snakes locality was and now I am not sure anymore. There are potentially 4 species or sub species of what we know as D. scabra. I have him in a cage with a number of females but if they are from different species or sub species this could be why he is not interested in mating with them.

Feeding him is a problem but I am going to put up a cage with finches and small doves in so that I can harvest eggs for him. Quail eggs are too big for him. Once I have that sorted out then possibly I can produce more hets. I only have one het left from a breeding of two years ago.
