They feeding on Bengal finch (Lonchura domestica) eggs. My landlord breeds finches and uses the Bengals to foster his Gouldian Finch babies and so has no use for their own eggs.
The mother takes about 10 at a time and the young ones up to 3 but usually 1 or 2.
We tried to get a pic of her with mouth agape but weren't quick enough. She is always quick to get into defensive position.
