I was out on monday when I get a call at 2am that my gaboon is giving birth. I was shocked as she has never shed with me in the past 9-10 months and if she did shed I would at least know she was close. I had to find may way home and was up till 12pm yesterday. She was giving birth to one at a time every 20 minutes and then every hour. I have seen her pushing after the last baby but nothing comming out but she was buldging at her tail base. She has just made another huge wet patch and moves around more than normal. It's been 33hrs now and the last baby was at 3pm yesterday.
I have never bred a viper/adder so I would like to know what could be happening. I am worried about her and I am going to give her a bath to clean off the mess. Hopefully we get a water birth. LOL
P.S. What an amazing thing to witness.
