Thanks for a great forum - your posts on the forum recently helped me get rid of a hectic mite infestation with very little hassle ;-)

Hey Man those are very nice. I especially like the colouring on Max; he's quite light. Thanks for posting :)

Thanks guys.

Anyone got an idea about Sheila's sub-species? Can't wait to see how she turns out. She looks just like the coastal hatchlings I've seen but she's still really small... and she's also got some lateral pattern distortion - in the form of a stipe on either side - which may indicate inter-breeding of some sort..?

@1ogbooj - Max is only 8 mnths old, so unfortunately he'll probably start getting darker soon... we'll see.

Hi Waz

Great collection there. The carpets are both amazing irrespective of subspecies.

One bit of constructive criticism. In the future, consider feeding them in a seperate plastic tub. I've VERY OFTEN seen snakes fed on shavings getting a mouth infection from a single shaving getting stuck in their mouth.

Rather safe than sorry.

Hey westley I hear you - thanks man. I'm trying the shavings only on the warm side as its gotten pretty chilly in Centurion of late. They seem to dig it. The problem though is that Sheila - the one chowing on the shavings - was a problem feeder for 3 months and was days away from starving. After a forced meal she decided to make a pro-active effort towards staying alive :) I'm hesitant to disturb her before feeding and that pic was only her second meal. ANYWAY - so seeing as Im real proud of my first attempt at building a respectable display case syle unit, I thought I'd show it off...

Cage is looking great, Carpets always look really nice in a display cage. Do you 2 still bite a lot?

Is the Dumerils boas in the middle 2 cages

Only bitten once by Bruce - at the expo while I was trying to get the cash out o' my wallet..!

I've heard countless times that carpets are nippy and easily tempted to bite (esp when they're young), and while this is true, I find that with gentle handling they calm down really quick. I've had more aggressive Corns than these two.

Jip, Dums in the middle for now. In time I can move one downstairs and take out the divider in the middle cage. Enclosures look boring as that pic was taken while cage acc were being treated for mites..
