I tilted my laptop screen in ten different directions, kept thinking that there was something wrong with it! That is incredible!

Just saw these on facebook and could not actually believe it! It's so different to any other albino! This one is like a florescent green?

40 cm for a herald is a fair size, so this snake was doing well for it's self in the wild? It certainly looks very healthy!

Now I've seen pics of albino L. capensis, L. inornata, P. cana, C. rhombeatus, D. scabra & now this C. hotamboeia.
One can't help but think what else might be out there. Just imagine that feeling that must go through you when you find something like this!

I remember Devon posting pics of a hypo a while back, but this snake is smoking hot!

Nice one Byron. Didn't Lionel Crow release a WC Herald after she dropped eggs only to have an albino hatch?
Possibly from the same line since you're in the same area.
Although the likelihood is that it was a fluke rather than the result of 2 wild hets.

I haven't heard that story of Lionels, but I have heard some other pearlers from him ;)
An albino can only be the result of 2 hets or albino to het. Or albino to albino. The odds of it happening though are alarmingly small. Definately not impossible though.
I also hatch all eggs I get from gravid wild-caught females in the hopes that one day I will get something different. So far, after thousands of eggs, nothing! But I have still been lucky enough to get a number of wierd morphs from call-outs and other people.
