BB take a good look at the pic, shes enormous. Surely if she was ovulating she wouldn't get to this size?

I've seen mine also swell when she was ovulating, so hence why I asked when he saw them mating. Different snakes ovulate differently, just remember that.

Yeah of course they swell when ovulating, I'm just wondering if she is ovulating and is this size, I can't imagine what she would look like at full term.

Ive never kept adult Gaboons so my opinion really isn't worth much, but my suggestion to Anton would be to buy some containers for some baby Gaboons ;)

They definately mated, he does not take no for an answer! Anybody out there need a female covered we make a plan no worries.

BB - this guys does exactly the same, huffs and puffs and cruises all over looking for another female.

Can you recall when they mated? Mine mated in July, and I'm expecting babies within the next 3 weeks or so. The wait is just painfully long!

First time I caught them at it was Sept '08 then again around May last year. I have never bred Gaboons before so its a long slow learning curve for me.

On Saturday morning, Zululand's Gaboon had 10 live babies and 2 still born.

"10 healthy little Gabby's

She started off with 2 stillborn but then they rolled out 100% healthy little dudes.

Small batch but its her first babies so I'm very very happy with the result!"

Congratulations!!
