My advice would be to use the same cage but don't do the half water/ half land thing. It simply makes for more work and an unhealthy environment. Bear in mind that the snakes will most certainly defaecate in the water which will necessitate a complete water change. Like JP says, I use a large water bowl but not over the heat pad. If you need to put it on the heat pad to increase humidity, give them a cool bowl as well.
Glass most certainly does crack from heat pads either when they are too hot or when water spills on the warm glass.
That cage will not last your Amazons long either, they will outgrow that in about 18 months.
