Hey all

This is the snake and frog Paul (chameleon company) found in Mpumalanga with me. I cant remember what snake this is.

Not too many pics but hope you enjoy them anyway.

Heres the frog, and yes that is a chick (my sister) holding a frog, she thought it was the cutest thing to have ever hit the planet

Very cool.

That's Sundevall's Shoverlsnout and the frog is a Bushveld Rainfrog.

Nice finds!
The rain frog looks very unhappy in the last photo..almost as if it's sulking. :(

Are those rain frogs toxic at all? I am not familiar with them so am a little curious..

Lol yeah that little frog was pretty cool, aswell as the snake.

We were in the North of mpumalanga at Jobedi game reserve.
Was a nice place but didnt find as many reptiles as expected, was plenty baboon spiders though.

I asked if they had ever found chameleons there and they told me ja they find 3 different species there, flap neck, the dwarf cham and a jackal chameleon (what the hell?) I did not find any chameleons though and looking at locations to find dwarf chameleons (of that province you find transvaalense in some places) we were in the wrong part of Mpumalanga so I dont know if he was just trying to confuse me or what?

That was some good herping, jumping out the bukkie and catching stuff haha

As for the jackal chameleon, what the F#@K was he talking about? and dwarfs? come on the Bradypodion transvaalense is atleast like 200 km away.....

Anyway, nice stuff, first time Sundevall's shovelsnout for me

hahah  i got the newest edition from my friend Mickey Mouse and believe it or not that species is there haha....

I think him seeing a juvenile flap-neck fooled him for being a dwarf in that region, but the jackal chameleon? puzzles me to this day haha
