Hi DavidC
I'm so glad to see that things have worked out well for you! I just wanted to let you know what worked for me, as I was having a bit of a problem with my Brazilians shedding well too. What I've started is:
1) Peat in the humid hide instead of sphagmum moss - it seems to retain moisture better (I know that hides are utilised much less by Amazons than Brazilians, but they do apparently spend some time on the ground)
2) Placing them in a bowl with warm water & towels (as suggested by Snakes4Africa) when they are in the blue - just prophylactically (instead of waiting for a patchy shed and using it as treatment)
(These tricks are thanks to Richard of Creatures & Critters)
Since I've done this, shedding has been great. This is just what worked for me!

I also have issues with my king shedding. I use Shed Aid at the moment and it works great. Its a liquid you put on to help along the shedding.

Well they have both shed again and this time it was much better. I put some moss in a ice cream tub with water and left them in there for around an hour at a time. When they started shedding it was over quickly. Got tagged a few times getting them into the tub though. They are eating like pigs. 5 frozen pienkies a week each and they still want more.
