Limpopo Roadcruise

Postby Hustler » Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:56 am

Howzit going guys,
Just thought I'd post a few pics of a STUNNING Naja annulifera that we caught while herping in Limpopo with Eyelash Viper and Crash and another buddy of ours, Wade. We spotted the snake on the side of the road and it actually had its head stuck in a coke can (the joys of people who just throw their cans out the window while driving :smt011 ). After Eyelash Viper eventually got the snake out of the can it actually looked very weak, probably from struggling to get out of that can for a while in the hot sun. But in general, what a calm calm calm snake! It didn't hood at us, or stike, or even so much as a huff! It was around 75cm.

Anyways, time for the pics :) I wish I had taken much more photos than what I did though.

I think it was either late last year or early this year bud. But what a beauty that snake was! You can also see a very feint band on the first picture.
