Cage size

Cage size

Hi,

Excuse me if I ask stupid questions I am looking into getting two Veiled Chameleons I know what the basic requirements are for the hatchlings I will use the Exo Terra glass cage and house the two together.
And for when they get bigger I am still stuck with that Urocone advised that I can keep one adult in the Exo Terra screen cage that measures 60 x 45 x 60 and I really find that cage appealing, but some other information suggests that the ideal cage should measure 60 x 60 x 120.

I have lost all my love for flexariums so that`s a no go for me is there a ready made cage on the market if not the screen cage, my creative mojo is all gone I do not want to build the cages.

Exo terra glass cages come in the following sizes :30 x 30 x 30cm, 30 x 30 x 45cm, 45 x 45 x 45cm, 45 x 45 x 60cm, 60 x 45 x 45cm, 60 x 45 x 60cm, 90 x 45 x 45cm, 90 x 45 x 60cm, Exo terra screen cages come in the following sizes:45 x 45 x45cm, 45 x 45 x 60cm, 60 x 45 x 45cm, 60 x 45 x 60cm, there are also pennplax cages that's a little cheaper not 100% sure about the sizes, but I think the largest size you'll find is 90 x 45 x 60 cm.

Why dont you like Flexariums?
I havnt had any problems with mine.
The most common flexarium sizes you will get are 38 gallons, 65 gallons, 100 gallons and maybe 260 gallons. All of which are fine for adult veiled chameleons though 38 gallons is pushing it a bit.
Bigger is always better.

@chamssss I just hate nylon in general I have a 38 gallon I plan to use this one and a glass terrarium from exo terra that was modified, is it possible to use a single tube for both.

I might just use the 100 gallon types can I use a single tube for those too? What do you think is the best way to fit it? Also if you could share some photos of your setup that would help.

My cages are out most of the time, with the species that sometimes just cant go out with how the weather is they stay indoors where the UVB tube runs the side of the cages, so will have 2 cages next to eachother with cage ontop of each of them aswell, that way 4 cages can get UVB from one tube, though it is the longest tube you can buy of the exo terra repti sol brand.
100 gallons will be great for veileds, you can get a tube that is long enough to run over the top of both cages.
I will try get some pics of the setups when I can.
