Limpopo trip

These two puff adders where found in the Limpopo province.
After photoshoots they where on there way again...

5okm north of Polokwane my uncles farm.

The best finds were the Writhing skink and Tortioses...

It was +-25mm, white belly... sorry thats all info I remember.

Looks like a member of the Cacosternum genus.

Perhaps Cacosternum boettgeri but the ones from Limpopo look a little different.

It was actually a little trip to family, but that does't mean therer is no time for herping.

Are you sure those are from tortoises from Limpopo province? Somehow they look look they are from the Northern Cape ?

That's the first ting that stood out to me. They look like Kalahari Tent Tortoises (Pssamobates oculiferus). But I just checked in Bill Branch and P. oculiferus do occur in the Northern and North-West Provinces. I would never have thought so.
