Can Dasypeltis cross breed?

I have an adult male D.inornata on his own in quite a large tank and two adult female D.scabra's in a smaller tank. What are the risks, if any, of the two species cross breeding if I keep them all in one tank?

I need more space so would like to move the female scabra's to the larger tank. I have not been able to find any previous discussions about this on this forum. Any advice will be appreciated.

I'm not sure if this has happend in the past, but I'm 99% sure they can and will interbreed if kept together.

Best would be to keep them separate.

They can,but I wouldn't put money on it that they will.

I don't know if this helps or is even applicable as I have no idea of the scientific names, but I am keeping a Southern Brown male with a Rhombic egg eater, both from the Eastern Cape in one tank and as far as I've seen they hav'nt been remotely interested in each other and it's been about 4months that they have been together. With those two I have two very small BHS that happily live in the same tank. So my opinion is go for it and put them together.

I dont think any hybrids have ever been recorded. It would be interesting to see if they do.

Please do not ever release any snakes that have been kept with other species or any of the babies hatched after that in case the hybrids are not visually noticeable as hatchlings.

Thanks for all the replies. This is interesting that it seems it perhaps hasn't happened? I really wouldn't want to breed hybrids anyway. May just put them in and if nothing happens I will be happier.
