dione ratsnake( elaphe dione) feeding

i feed my snakes pinkys(pinky ur in danger:) -) ,the snakes are 50cm long and about 1 year old, the dude i bought them from gave me 4 smaller mice-but they didnt eat any, so i started feeding pinkys.

Quesntion 1. should i try now to feed small mice?

Question 2. should i stay with pinkys and how often should i feed them?

I dont know the species you are refering to, but ever 7 - 10 days should be fine.

Try feeding them fuzzy mice, but if they prefer pinks, keep them on that for a while longer till they have settled.

Basically, if you can't see the food in the snake after feeding, feed it a bigger item.

Dione ratsnakes of 50cm are almost adult. They should be eating far bigger than pink mice. I would give then big fuzzies every 5 days till they reach about 70cm and then switch to small mice.

I have never seen one that size but I dont doubt that they can grow so big. I bred mine when they were about 70 cm. When I sold them a few years later they were still less than a metre in length.

Those subspecies are not recognised yet.

I know in some areas they cannot tell the difference between them and E. bimaculata.

i feeded 1 a large pinky( they were about to open eyes)

but my male snake dont have any interest of the pinky.female ate 1
